Westbury defends home fields in Hearts & Homers!

Westbury LL hosted an end of fall season select tournament the weekend of Dec 1-2.  We had fantastic weather and 2 great days of baseball were played by all teams.

Westbury home teams went 12-2 on the weekend winning 2 of the divisions and taking runner up position in the other 2.  The cumulative score of the wins was also very impressive.  The kids defended their home fields with great pitching defense and hitting!  12 year old Andrew Brown went yard on M1 on Saturday for his first career HR!

8U Outlawz (3-1) - runners up;  9U Thunder (3-1) - runners up

11U Wildcats (3-0) - champs;  12U Thunder (3-0) - champs

Although the 10U division didn't compete in the home tourney, the 10U Hustle had a good weekend playing & representing WBLL well at Baseball USA!

Thank you to all the Westbury volunteers, parents and kids that made this  a great baseball weekend and raised some funds for Westbury LL!!

Tracy Ludwick educational fund

Dear WLL community,

I am very sorry to convey that a member of our family, Tracy Ludwick, passed away last week. Tracy was a past manager and coach at WLL and his son Dunham and nephew Luke played at WLL. Tracy's brother Jody, and sister-in-law Sondra, Luke's parents, have also been a big part of our community and supporters of WLL. Please keep them all in your thoughts.

Tracy's brothers, Jody and Kelly, started an educational fund for Tracy's children, Karson (15) and Dunham (10) at the Houston Texas Federal Firefighter's Credit Union since Tracy is the son of a fallen firefighter and brother of an active firefighter (Jody). Donations can be made into account number 240468001 or checks can be made out to his brother Jody Ludwick for deposit.

Please send to checks to 5155 Braesvalley Drive Houston, Texas 77096.
